Face masks are one of the best components of a beauty regime and there are many reasons to it; they give you a feeling of being spoilt and treated, easy to apply and deliver great results in minimal of time. A face mask that suits your skin not only hydrates your skin but it also gets rid of oil, dirt, and grime in addition to tightening your skin pores. Some of them have soothing, blemish removal, nourishing and rejuvenating effects too. Face masks can be applied as frequently as possible according to your skin types. Wet your hands and apply the mask to damp skin; apply as if you are applying a frosting on a cake, do not rub the mask on your skin. Do not forget your neck area while applying a facemask. Here are some home based face mask formulas for different skin types:

1. Egg white face mask

Separate two egg whites and add two tablespoons of yogurt, whisk them a little. Apply this mask on your face and leave it on for few minutes before washing with warm water. The facemask is perfect for dry skin and skin with opened pores as it tightens the pores and removes any whiteheads.

2. Oatmeal and yogurt face mask

Finely grind two tablespoons of oatmeal and mix an equal amount of yogurt. Add a little warm honey and plaster this paste on your face. Leave it for ten minutes and rinse with warm water. The mask is not an excellent exfoliator but it also hydrates and moisturizes the skin. The subject mask has a potential of pore tightening and blemishes removal qualities.

3. Coffee and cocoa face mask

Take two tablespoons of finely ground coffee and equal amounts of cocoa powder (unsweetened), add four tablespoons of milk, cream or yogurt to make it a smooth paste. Add a little honey if you have a dry skin, in case of an oily skin add a few drops of lemon juice. Apply the mask for an invigorating experience as it eliminates dead cells, improves blood circulation and smoothens out your skin.

4. Aspirin face mask

This facemask is specific for acne-prone skin. Crush two to three aspirins and add a little water to make a paste. Add a little olive or coconut oil, or any other moisturizer. Apply and let it get dry before washing it with warm water. Ten minutes of this mask would deliver a cleansing action as well as lessen acne.

5. Avocado face mask

Avocados are full of healthy fats, which do an amazing job for your skin too. This particular mask has exceptional properties for an aging, dry skin prone to fine lines and wrinkles. Easy to make, mash half an avocado and add one-fourth cup of honey to it. Apply this mask for about ten to fifteen minutes and wash. The avocados transfer their essential fats into the skin, delivering a skin-deep moisturizing effect.

6. Rosewater face mask

Designed for a combination skin, this mask delivers moisturizing effects on the skin and removes excess oil where required. Crush a few petals of a rose in a bowl and add a little rose water, some yogurt, and a little honey to make a paste. Apply it for ten minutes then wash it off.
